What the law says about TUIfly cancelled flights

TUIfly cancelled flights notified more than fourteen days before date of departure:

Julian has received a message from TUIfly notifying him that his flight in 20 days is cancelled. He does not have a right to compensation under the EU Regulation but may seek a refund of his flight cost. If there isn´t proof of message from TUIfly he will be granted a compensation too.

TUIfly cancellations notified between seven and fourteen days before date of departure:

Julian has received a mail from TUIfly notifying him that his flight in 9 days is cancelled. He has a right to compensation as his flight was cancelled by TUIfly between 7 and 14 days before his departure and his flight departs more than 2 hours before the original scheduled time of departure and arrives more than 4 hours after the original scheduled arrival time.

TUIfly cancellations notified less than 7 days before departure:

Norman has received a mail from TUIfly notifying him that his flight in two days is cancelled. He has a right to compensation as his flight was cancelled by TUIfly less than seven days before his departure and the new flight departs more than one hour before the {original} time of departure and arrives more than two hours after the original scheduled time.
